Alexander Crosett has held teaching positions at Manhattan School of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Bloomingdale School of Music, and Kennesaw State University. His students have won prizes at the New York International Artists Competition, NYSSMA, and have been admitted to programs at the Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes College, Berklee College of Music, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts. His private studio won Thumbtack's Best of 2016 and 2015, ranking #1 among its lesson providers in New York City. He is a Steinway Educational Partner.

As a freelance Theatre pianist and commercial music vocal coach, Alexander Crosett has worked with stars of Broadway productions of Fun Home, Finding Neverland, School of Rock, Annie, Pippin, Matilda, Miss Saigon, Billy Elliott, Newsies, Mary Poppins, Soul Doctor, Big Fish, Little Miss Sunshine, A Christmas Story, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Shrek the Musical, The Assembled Parties, Enron, original West End productions of Miss Saigon and Cats, national tours of Mame, Annie and White Christmas, film including Into The Woods, and television's X-Factor, America's Got Talent, American Idol, Norwegian Idol and Chinese Idol.

His students have performed on major stages worldwide, from New York's Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Broadway/Off-Broadway theaters, the Metropolitan Opera, Steinway Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note (NYC and Tokyo), Dizzy's Club Coca Cola and Feinstein's/54 Below to Cirque du Soleil touring productions and venues across Europe and Asia (including the 2008 Beijing Olympics).

Alexander Crosett has been described as "...a young pianist of extraordinary talent and accomplishment" (Thomas Mastroianni, President: American Liszt Society) for his performances throughout the United States, Canada, Italy, Spain, Germany, and France.

He has given recitals at Steinway Hall in Manhattan; the Goethe-Institut Boston; Riverdale Society of Ethical Culture; Lander University's Artist Recital Series; the Noontime Series at the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston; Manhattan School of Music; and the Young Artist Recital Series at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy. He won the 2006 Interlochen Concerto Competition.

Chamber music performances include festivals and recitals at Harvard University, University of Virginia, Interlochen Center for the Arts, and masterclasses by such artists as Nathan Gunn, Steven Isserlis, and Lambert Orkis.

Alexander Crosett earned his Master of Music in Piano Performance degree at Manhattan School of Music as a student of 1981 Van Cliburn Competition Gold Medalist André-Michel Schub, having completed undergraduate studies as a full scholarship student of Eda Mazo-Shlyam at Bard College's Longy School of Music.

He pursued additional work with Jacques Rouvier, Aldo Ciccolini, and Eteri Andjaparidze at Centre d’Arts Orford in Quebec, the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Italy, and the Euro Arts Festival in Leipzig, Germany, and masterclasses from such musicians as Peter Frankl, Ian Hobson, Ann Schein, and 2001 Van Cliburn Competition Gold Medalist Olga Kern. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Georgia, where he serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Piano.
